Tournament Details
All eight universities from the Ivy League will
be in attendance, including 2004 EPRU Division
I Collegiate Champions University of Pennsylvania,
defending 2004 Ivy League Champions Princeton,
and nationally ranked Dartmouth. The Ivy League's
other rugby teams all have a tradition of excellence
in rugby including former collegiate national
champions Harvard University and strong teams
with a long tradition from Brown, Yale, Cornell,
and Columbia.
The 2005 Ivy League Rugby Championships will
be hosted by the University of Pennsylvania Rugby
Football Club in cooperation with the Philadelphia-Whitemarsh
Rugby Football Club on April 9th and 10th, 2005
at A.A. Garthwaite Stadium in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania.
Philadelphia Whitemarsh hosted the National 7s
for 8 years and the Army Navy Game for 2 years
at this venue.
Admission to the event will be $8 per day or
buy a two-day pass for $10. Students with ID can
buy a two-day pass for $7 or pay $5 for the day.
Hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and all sorts of drinks
will be available at the stadium grill. There
will be plenty of bottled water on hand both days
of the event for discounted prices. A limited
supply of 2005 Ivy Championship T-shirts will
be on sale for $15 per shirt. T-shirts will be
available in an assortment of sizes and colors
with a crest on the front and the tournament logo
on the back (see designer
rendering).
