Rules
- Length of Halves
Saturday Morning - First Round = 25 minutes
Saturday Afternoon - Second Round = 30 minutes
Sunday - Third Round (3rd,5th,7th)= 30 minutes
/ Final (1st) = 35 minutes
Half-time breaks will be 5 minutes.
- Tied Match at Regulation
a) Coin toss for ends or ball. Teams will switch
ends after any completed period.
b) Two 5-minute overtime periods.
c) If match is still tied, 5-minute sudden death
periods until there is a score.
- Late for Match Start
Time
There will be a designated area for pre-game
coin toss, boot check and rule discussion with
referee and each team. Any team failing to assemble
in the pre-game area and take the field at the
scheduled kickoff time, ready to play, will
forfeit the match.
- Yellow & Red Card
If a player is yellow carded, sin-bin shall
be limited to 5 minutes. If the same player
is yellow carded in the same or the following
match, he can no longer play for duration of
the tournament. If a player is red carded during
a match, he can no longer play for the duration
of the tournament. All yellow and red cards
issued will be reported to the club's local
area union for further disciplinary action.
- Team Participation
All teams are required to play in all scheduled
matches; failure to do so will result in disciplinary
action by their local Union.
- Code of Conduct
All teams and their fans must not possess alcoholic
beverages during the tournament and must comply
with the USA Rugby collegiate code of conduct
policy. Failure to comply will be reported to
their Union for disciplinary action and could
also be grounds for disqualification from the
tournament.
- USA Rugby CIPP
All teams must be in good standing with their
Union and fully enrolled in the USA Rugby CIPP
program to participate in this Tournament.
- Protests & Disputes
Any protests or disputes must be brought to
the attention of either the Head Referee or
Tournament Director either prior to the start
of a match or no later than 15 minutes after
completion of a match for consideration.
- Stadium Don'ts
NO ALCOHOL, it is a borough rule and all coolers
and bags will be checked.
NO DOGS are allowed in the stadium.
- Stadium Seating
The stadium has bleachers on both sides of the
field for up to 5,000 fans. In additon, there
will be an area designated for players and administrators
with room for tents. Feel free to bring pop-up
tents, chairs and medical tables.
- Stadium Gate
There will be 28 badges for each team. The team
roster will include 25 players, 2 coaches, 1
manager or medical. All others will pay at the
gate.
