The Brown women’s rugby team was founded in 1974.  In the past eight years the team has moved from a regionally competitive side to one of the top Division I programs in the country.

  • Northeast Champions 2008, 09, 11, 12
  • Ivy League Champions 2011, 2012
  • Appearances at the National Tournament in 2005, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12
  • Final Four appearances in 2008, 09, 10, 12
  • Ranked third in the nation among Division 1 colleges in 2009, 10, 11, 12
  • Sixteen All Americans since 2006
  • The 2008 College player of the year (Emilie Bydwell)
  • 2009 Women’s College Program of the year (Rugby Magazine)
  • Two Brown alumnae on 2010 World Cup team.
  • 3.5 team GPA in 2011, 2012
