Princeton Men at Cornell Men

Cornell added a second Ivy league win to their record on Saturday, defeating a persistent and talented Princeton team.

Cornell controlled the pace of the game from the outset, responding to a second-half surge by Princeton decisively. Captain Chuck Motzer, Prop Ethan Venosa (2), flanker Chris Groton, and wing Jin Sasaki accounted for the Cornell tries, giving Cornell more than enough to put them over Princeton 29-17.

Cornell Head Coach Paule Barford, interviewed after the game, said that Cornell played "more ferocious, more violent, and technically adept" following a string of injuries earlier this season.

Captain Chuck Motzer added that "It was a hard fought game, we were really able to stay together as a team, stuck with each other and earned ourselves a win."  Cornell will look to continue its winning streak against Penn on Oct. 18, homecoming weekend.
