Brown and Yale Second and Thirds Square Off

After a tough 1st side contest Brown and Yale squared off for two more. The seconds ended in a 14 all tie, while Brown got the better of Yale in the third contest by a score of 12-0.

Brown and Yale tied in Second XV Match: 14-14

With a mixed side of experienced players and raw rookies, Brown lead after the first half 7-0 on a 30 meter burst by lock Eddie Friedman. Yale stormed back in the second half with two converted tries, but as full time ticked down, Brown number 8, Speck Mellencamp, scored in the corner. A clutch conversion by fly half Pete McHugh gave Brown the tie.

Yale Defeats Brown 12-0 in Third XV Match

With most of the Brown squad being first time players, this match gave everyone a taste of rugby. Although outscored, the players had a chance for their first live rugby experience. We expect rapid improvement from many of this squad.
