Harvard Women Open Spring Season With Frostbite 7s

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard women's rugby team will open up its spring slate on Saturday, March 5, hosting the Frostbite 7s in the Bubble at Harvard Stadium. The Crimson welcomes MIT, New Hampshire, Siena and Yale, while fielding two teams, the Crimson team and the Black team, to round out the six-team tournament.

Frostbite 7s: Fast Facts

Harvard will square off against Siena and UNH for the first time in its varsity history, while its matchup against Yale marks the first matchup in 7s play. MIT is the lone returning opponent as Harvard squared off against the Engineers last spring at the Frostbite 7s.

Harvard hosted the inaugural Frostbite 7s a season ago, fielding a Crimson and Black team, while hosting MIT and Beantown Rugby. The Crimson and Black team each posted a 2-1 record on the day.

Harvard posted a record of 2-12-1 in 7's action last season. The Crimson ended its season with a 20-12 loss to AIC in a consolation match at the ACRA 7's Championship.
