Princeton Dash to Dublin

Fall 2011 Princeton Men

 The Dash to Dublin is officially over, with the 35+ rugby players having biked 3230 miles over 192 hours. The 8 days included 3 days of tandem bike and 5 days of rain.

The Princeton Men's Rugby team is travelling to Ireland this year for its Spring Development Tour. We will be training with Connacht Rugby, a professional Irish team, to get prepared for the Ivy League Playoffs in April and for a bid to the D1-AA National Tournament.

The goal this 30-day series of battles was to raise awareness of the conference, teams and players to fans and media. We hope you enjoyed the contest.

Each round was a two-day battle of head-to-head competition of players in the Ivy Rugby Conference.

Sophomores Dot Mittow and Morgan Arthur both scored and made the difference as Princeton defeated arch-rival Virginia to place third in the first-ever USA Rugby National 7s Championships.

A recently sensationalized story in the NY Post listed our own Peyton Bell as "left for dead." The situation couldn't be further from the truth, though Peyton is in very serious condition.

Princeton Women Win Pool on Day 1 of USA Rugby 7s

Princeton Women scored four trys enroute to defeating Indiana University 20-1 in the first match of the first round of pool play in the first-ever USA Rugby 7s Collegiate Championships. The Tigers then put 32 points on the board against Texas to finish the day 2-0 setting up a quarter final match against Oregon State.
