Brown finishes league play on top
It was a beautiful day to play rugby and Brown was ready for the Princeton Tigers when they came to town.
Play was tenacious on both sides of the breakdown until 13:03 when sophomore Sofia Rudin ran a dummy switch to her inside center, Oksana Goretaya ‘17 and then gave the ball to Kiki Morgan ’16 on an inside run to score up the middle. Rudin converted the try making it 7-0.
1st XV Penn Men at Cornell Men
Cornell took on the University of Pennsylvania this Saturday at home for Cornell Homecoming. In front of larger than usual crowd of fans, friends, and alumni, the Big Red put on a strong showing, beating the Fighting Quakers 41-22.
Princeton Women at Yale Women
Princeton defeats Yale in New Haven 27-0. It was the last home game of the season for the Bulldogs.
Dartmouth men down Yale
Big Green Tops the Bulldogs to Reach 5-0
New Haven, CT – The DRFC travelled to New Haven last Saturday to take on Yale. The first XV would win 42-7 in a fiercely contested match, while the second XV completed a 57-0 shutout. Even a few development squad players got in on the action, capping off the day with a friendly game of sevens.
Princeton Men at Cornell Men
Cornell added a second Ivy league win to their record on Saturday, defeating a persistent and talented Princeton team.
Cornell controlled the pace of the game from the outset, responding to a second-half surge by Princeton decisively. Captain Chuck Motzer, Prop Ethan Venosa (2), flanker Chris Groton, and wing Jin Sasaki accounted for the Cornell tries, giving Cornell more than enough to put them over Princeton 29-17.
Harvard women defeat Dartmouth, 10-5
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - On a rainy Saturday morning, Harvard women's rugby (3-2, 3-2) was triumphant over Dartmouth (2-3, 2-2), 10-5, at Cumnock Field. The Crimson now leads the all-time series against the Big Green, 2-1.
The first half saw Harvard dominate, playing deep in Dartmouth territory for the majority of the half, but the Big Green defense held strong. With seconds left in extra time, Lenica Morales-Valenzuela was able to punch it in after a Dartmouth foul at the goal line. With the first 40 minutes in the books, the Crimson was in the lead 5-0.
Dartmouth men triumph in doubleheader weekend
Hanover, NH – Dartmouth hosted Penn and Princeton on Brophy Field for a rare doubleheader weekend this past Saturday and Sunday.
The Big Green emerged from the weekend victorious, defeating Penn 44-10 and Princeton 54-5. Despite tough conditions on Saturday and the physical wear and tear of 160 minutes of rugby in 24 hours, Dartmouth managed to preserve its unbeaten record on its quest for an Ivy League title.

Brown women put up 101 points vs Columbia
Despite wet conditions Brown Women’s Rugby put 101 points on the visiting Columbia women at Marvel Field this past weekend.
From the first kickoff, Brown was on the move and scored their first try within 43 seconds of the opening whistle by inside center and Captain, Oksana Goretaya ’17. Columbia being very young and inexperienced could not handle the constant pressure by the Brown ruggers who seemed to be scoring at will though they put up a valiant effort. First half action saw the score at Brown 39 – Columbia 0.
