Brown 22 v. Yale 5 University – Second XV

Yale was only able to field a 10 man team for the Second XV match. Brown had 23 available players so open substitution was used to give all of the Seconds a chance to play. The teams agreed to play two 20 minute halves of rugby. 

Wing Duncan Grant got Brown off to a good first half start with two tries, and lock George Wilde also scored in support of a 50 meter break by center Jack Schaeffer to take a 15-0 first half lead. Yale scored just before halftime to end the half at 15-5. 

The second half was scoreless until the last two minutes when #10 Dennis Kinyua beat his man from 10 meters out to score. Dennis also converted his try with a successful dropkick. The 7 point converted try gave Brown a 22-5 win.
