2nd XV Princeton Men at Cornell Men
Princeton travels to Ithaca next Saturday for a match against the Big Red. Kickoff at 11:00am for the 1st XV with the seconds to follow.
2nd XV Harvard Men at Brown Men
Behind the excellent work of freshman #9 Matt Leonard, the Brown seconds beat Harvard 17-5.
Harvard scored first at 19 minutes but two minutes later, Leonard took a quick tap and passed to Daniel Tondreys’14 for a try. Fly half Blair Cameron’13 made the conversion and the half ended with Brown up 7-5.
In the second half Leonard took another quick tap and fed David Dean’11 for a try. The score remained 12-5, until Leonard made a break with 4 minutes on the clock. He chipped over the top into the try zone and scored for the final score of the match.
Hanrahan, Cummins and De la Cal lead Harvard 21 past Brown 13
Both Harvard and Brown were looking to put a win on the board and turn a 1-1 first weekend into a positive result. Each team scored twice during the contest. In the end it was Harvard's de la Cal kicking that provided the margin. de la Cal booted 3 penalties and a conversion. Hanrahan and Cummins scored for Harvard, while Karwaski and McGinn dotted down for Brown. Jethani chipped in one penalty.
Penn takes it to Brown 40-24
Philadelphia, Pa. - The University of Pennsylvania came back from Saturday’s 78-7 thrashing at the hands of defending Ivy Champion Dartmouth to defeat Brown 40-24.
With rain clouds looming, Brown came out strong, sustained early pressure, and got on the board first with a penalty kick by Rabb, 3-0.
On the ensuing kickoff, Penn worked the ball through phases, with senior prop Matt Deluca barreling over for a try that senior flyhalf Jonny Chia converted, 7-3 Penn.

Match Report: Yale
B-side..... Cornell 15- Yale 0. Both teams were young and had many mistakes. Yale had a field position adavantge, but Cornell was able to convert when they were given the chance. Good hard effort but both young sides.
2nd XV Dartmouth Men at Penn Men
After the 1st XV game, the 2nd-XV played on the same pitch for shortened halves and with uncontested scrums. The Penn 2nd-XV proved to be just as physical as their 1st-XV counterparts. In the end though, the Dartmouth 2nd-XV pack managed to achieve great continuity and connect with their backs on the wing, who in turn scored try after try. The final score of that match echoed the results of the earlier game at 38-7.

Penn holds on to defeat a surging Princeton 29-25
Princeton, NJ - In the most hotly contested match of Round 7, the University of Pennsylvania withstood a late Tiger rally to defeat Princeton 29-25. With 15 minutes remaining and Princeton down 29-13, the Tigers almost pulled back, scoring two tries (one converted) but left their fight-back too late and the game ended in a 29-25Penn victory. Penn was paced by the three tries of Andrew Martin.
The first half was relatively quiet, with Penn going into intermission with a 12 -8 lead.
Grey Grissom, Yale, scores late to seal a 17-10 victory over Princeton
Tough weather conditions including very high winds made play a challenge all match .Four minutes into the contest, Yale's Alex Abramov scores a try on the wing. Yale leads Princeton 5-0. At the 15 minute mark, Princeton hits a PK into a firm wind pulling Princeton to within two points. Five minutes later, Princeton blocks a kick and earns a penalty try as a result. Kick is converted. Princeton takes the lead 10-5. In the 33rd minute, Yale' Pat Mitchel scores another try in the corner.
Dartmouth Hosts Royall Lyme Granite Cup
Hanover, NH – While rain was predicted for yesterday’s friendly preseason tournament, the weather held off for most of the morning, making for perfect fall rugby weather. Dartmouth hosted teams from the University of New Hampshire, the University of Vermont, St. Michaels College, Franklin Pierce, Keene State, and Plymouth State, in another preseason institution of recent years, the Royall Lyme Granite Cup.
After Slow Start, Alumni Z-Side Takes Care of Business
After spending a little too much time at the Palms on Friday night, the alumni Z-side came out flat against a young, but game, Cornell A-side. The result was a fast and devastating attack by the A-side backs and a 20-0 lead for the youngsters after only 20 minutes.
The Z-side eventually got onto the board in the 25th minute, making the score 20-5. However, the response from the A-side was quick, and in the 27th minute, they scored again to bring the match to 25-5. With 53 minutes of rugby still left to play, the Z-side looked to be in for a long and painful afternoon.
