Dartmouth won all seven of their Ivy League matches over the 2010 season outscoring their opponents 436 to 30 and earning the Ivy League Championship honors for the fourth consecutive year. With their dominance of Ivy League competition, Dartmouth has been awarded a spot in the USA Rugby Collegiate Premier League, slated to compete in the spring of 2011.

Just below in stature, the USA Rugby Division One Championship Series has awarded the Ivy League with one of its 16 slots. The sixteen teams from collegiate leagues around the country will compete for the D1 Championship, also in the spring. The second ranked team in the Ivy League will be awarded the spot in the competition. The Ivy League Competitions Committee has scheduled a four-team single-elimination Wildcard tournament to determine second place finish in the league and the Ivy League Rugby Conference representative to the D1 Championship Series.

Ivy League Rugby Wildcard Weekend

Columbia finished second in the Ivy League and therefore has been awarded host and home field for the Wildcard playoffs. The schedule is confirmed for Saturday and Sunday, November 6 and 7. Brown, Yale and Harvard will travel to Columbia in New York City on Saturday morning for the first round of the Wildcard playoffs.

Given the ups and downs of the season, the Bears of Brown (fifth seed) hope they can build on last Saturday's victory over Yale (fourth seed) and their close margin of loss to both Columbia (second seed) and Harvard (third seed). Though Columbia has the top seed, no team appears to have an edge. The tournament is wide open. Wildcard matchups and times, along with head-to-head results from the regular season are listed below.
