Columbia Women Remain on Top With a Win Over Yale

Saturday, September 29, 2018

Two women's Ivy Rugby Conference matches were held in the state of New York this past weekend. The powder blue Lions of Columbia pulled off a huge victory over the traveling Yale Bulldogs in the city that never sleeps, pushing to the top of the Ivy standings. Princeton Women defeated the Big Red on the road in Ithaca.

Tight matches they were not, but Yale managed to put four trys across against a staggering 88 points by the home team earning the Bulldogs an all important road bonus point. Things did not go as well for the home team at Cornell as the Tigers of Princeton scored 88 unanswered points.

There's only one match next week on the women's Ivy schedule as Princeton travels to Yale Saturday October 6th, 2018. No matter what the outcome, idle Columbia will remain on top of the standings for another week. Both Cornell and Penn are also idle this coming weekend.
