DRFC to Celebrate the Club’s 60th Anniversary

Former Harvard Rugger Ted Kennedy visits with the Boys in Green
Friday, October 8, 2010

Five years after opening the Corey Ford Rugby Clubhouse which saw the greatest gathering of Dartmouth rugby alumni and friends ever, the Club will be celebrating 60 years of Dartmouth Rugby over the weekend of Oct 8-10.

Friday evening starts things off with a cocktail party/welcome reception sponsored by members of the NYC “Old Green” teams from the ‘70s and ‘80s.

Saturday events include matches vs. Brown, dedication of the new “1959 California Touring Side” scoreboard, an alumni rugby match vs. Tuck, a gala dinner party in the Clubhouse and adjoining Tent, and sign-up opportunities for golfing outings on Sunday.

In addition, the New Hampshire foliage should be on full display.

Dartmouth hopes that as many alumni as possible will register, mark your calendars, and reserve hotel accommodations (a link is on the registration site) so that you can join old teammates and friends for what promises to be another fun-filled celebration of Dartmouth Rugby.

For those of you who were with us five years ago, how many times have you looked back on the Dedication weekend and said “how great was that?” For those of you who could not be with us last time, this is your opportunity to join three generations of former players in celebration of our common bond to Dartmouth Rugby.
