It has been one year since I have assumed the position of president of CURFC and what a year it has been. Last year’s team, a team full of potential, size, athletic ability, and desire, accomplished many things (including the first Met NY win in over 2 years, a winning regular season record, and two Ivy wins over Cornell) but in the end, failed to reach all of the goals that we had set out for ourselves.

Dartmouth 29 - Yale 17

This Saturday marked the opening game of the fall season for the Yale team, who traveled north to Dartmouth to take on a squad that had beaten them 91-0 on their beautiful pitch less than a year ago. However, many things had changed for the Dartmouth squad, which graduated 24 seniors last season, 12 of which were starters.

Dartmouth Rugby: 2006 Ivy League Champs

The Dartmouth Rugby Football Club won their second Ivy League title in as many years this past weekend, fighting their way to a 52 – 16 victory over Harvard in the title match. A bright Sunday in New Haven overcame the driving rain that slowed the pace of play in Saturday’s first-round matches.

Conshohocken, PA -- Philadelphia-Whitemarsh, the Penn Rugby and our title sponsor Royall Lyme couldn’t have picked a better day for rugby yesterday as the Royall Lyme 2005 Rugby Ivy League Championship got under way at A.A. Garthwaite Stadium in Conshohocken, PA. The weather was warm and sunny with a little breeze. Perfect rugby weather for the players and 500 fans.

Dartmouth Places Third in the 2003 Ivy League Tournament

The Dartmouth RFC placed third in the 2003 Ivy League Tournament, hosted by Dartmouth at the NYAC facility on Travers Island, Pelham, NY. It was the first time in 6 years that Dartmouth failed to take home the championship cup.

1989: Harvard Ruggers Topple Brown to Win Ivy League Championship

The Harvard men's rugby club was celebrating even more than usual after this weekend's games. The Crimson (8-0) defeated Brown yesterday, 12-9, in the finals in Providence, R.I., to win the Ivy League championships for the first time since 1984, the year the squad won the national title.
