Dartmouth College Rugby 7s Lineup - Collegiate Championships

Dartmouth's 7s lineup has been presented by coach Alex Magelby for the inaugural Rugby 7s Collegiate Championship this Saturday and Sunday. Dartmouth starts thing off this evening with a match against Notre Dame.

The Harvard Crimson to Face Ivy Rival Dartmouth Big Green Today

After a tough opening round loss last evening to recent 15s National Champion CAL, Harvard is looking to bounce back against Dartmouth. Dartmouth was able to pull out a first round victory against Notre Dame. Harvard finished second in the Ivies last fall to Dartmouth.

7s Collegiate Championship Pool Final Results

Harvard and Dartmouth played in the same Pool A with Notre Dame and CAL. Dartmouth came out of the bracket 2-1, while Harvard lost all three of their opening matches. It all starts over today as Dartmouth moves on to the top eight and Harvard to the bottom eight of today's single elimination tournament culminating with nationally televised finals on NBC this evening.

Dartmouth and Harvard Set to Play 7s Tonight

Yes, Harvard and Dartmouth will play live on TV this Saturday, but more importantly, they will play each other in a first round matchup for bragging rights in the Ivies. The match is scheduled for 12:10pm Saturday. Looks like you'll need to be in Columbus to catch this one. GO IVY!

Tonight Harvard plays CAL at 6:50, then Dartmouth takes on Notre Dame at 7:10.

Dartmouth Dominates Notre Dame in Opening Match

Dartmouth's 7s was the big Ivy winner on Day 1 as they defeated Notre Dame 19 - 5. Dartmouth scored first, lead at halftime 7-5 and won going away by dominating the second half. Harvard also played an opening round game last evening but had to face recently crowned 15s national champion CAL. Harvard lost 42-nil. Tough draw. Tough loss!

Trys by Jarvis, Fish and Nick Downer led the way as Dartmouth won its opening round match versus Notre Dame

Columbia 2010 Tour of Paris and Milan

CURFC first arrived in Paris on Friday March 12th. The team settled into its hostel and then took to the Parisian streets. The first team practice consisted of a 5-mile run between many of the famous landmarks in the downtown area. On just the first night alone, the team was able to see the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triumph, La Invalides, and many other famous sites.

Stanford 43 - Brown Women 32

Brown lost a heartbreaker in the semi-finals to a very fast Stanford side. The match went back and forth for 70 minutes and Brown grabbed the lead with 9 minutes to go in the match – but Stanford responded with 2 blazing trys. Brown countered and marched down to score but time ran out.

Four Brown Women Named 2nd Team All-American

USA Rugby has officially selected the 2010 Women's Collegiate All-American teams. Of the 53 players selected, four were from the Ivy League and all four from Brown. Congratulations to the players and Brown University for representing the Ivy League so well.

 Congratulations to Brown University Head Women's Coach Kerrissa Heffernan on the success of the Brown team and the success of her players. Heffernan commented, "Andi, Izraelle, Alex and Alicia had standout matches at both the round of 16 and final four. We're very proud of our student athletes."
